Backed by Dr. Gavin Wood, Peaq, and Tezos Foundation, the funding fuels Acurast's mission to transform smartphones into a decentralized cloud for verifiable, confidential compute across multiple blockchains.
Zug, Switzerland, November 13, 2025 - Acurast, the decentralized, serverless cloud platform bringing secure, verifiable, and cost-efficient compute to Web3, announced it has raised a total of $11 million across non-dilutive grants and token-based rounds ahead of its Mainnet and Token Generation Event (TGE) on November 17.
The investment combines proceeds from an oversubscribed CoinList token sale with additional funding raised in rounds between 2023 and 2025. The round attracted support from leading Web3 figures and institutions, including Dr. Gavin Wood (Co-founder, Ethereum; Founder, Polkadot), Leonard Dörlochter (Founder, Peaq), Michael van de Poppe (Founder, MN Capital), Ogle (Founder, GlueNet; CoinDesk's Most Influential), as well as institutional backers HV Capital, Sigma Capital, Scytale Digital, Peaq, MN Capital, and Tezos Foundation.
"TGE marks the moment Acurast becomes a genuinely open, global compute network ready for real-world integration," said Alessandro De Carli, Founder of Acurast. "By turning idle phones into verifiable, confidential compute, we remove the gatekeepers and bring secure, trustless computation to anyone, anywhere."
Investors recognize Acurast's potential to redefine decentralized cloud infrastructure and the emerging DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) sector. The platform's ability to utilize existing smartphones for computing creates unmatched scalability and energy efficiency in the decentralized cloud domain.
Acurast is making use out of new and old smartphones, which represent the most widely distributed, battle-tested hardware on the planet, with billions of devices ready to be utilized. Acurast transforms these phones into verifiable compute nodes capable of executing workloads securely, confidentially, and without intermediaries.
Its incentivized testnet has already achieved large-scale adoption:
149,000+ phones onboarded 87,000+ developer deployments 179,000+ accounts created 492 million+ on-chain transactions processed These results validate Acurast's readiness for real-world applications-from decentralized automation to privacy-preserving enterprise processes.
The $11 million raised will accelerate Acurast's trajectory in three focus areas:
Protocol Development: Expanding TEE support and completing cross-chain interoperability modules. Ecosystem Growth: Establishing grants, hackathons, and partnerships to onboard dApp developers across major networks. Network Scaling: Growing the global network of Providers and advancing the decentralized governance model. With the Mainnet and TGE launch on November 17, Acurast is positioned to become a cornerstone of Web3's decentralized cloud infrastructure, securely and globally bridging real-world devices and on-chain compute.
