What is press release distribution?
Press distribution, also known as news distribution or press release distribution, is the process of disseminating news, announcements, or other information from organizations to media outlets and the public. This service acts as a bridge between companies, non-profits, or individuals and various news channels, including newspapers, magazines, online publications, TV stations, and radio networks. By utilizing a press distribution service, entities can effectively spread their message to a wide audience, potentially gaining media coverage and public attention. These services often maintain extensive networks of journalists, editors, and media contacts, allowing for targeted distribution based on industry, geography, or specific interests. Press distribution plays a crucial role in public relations strategies, helping organizations increase their visibility, manage their reputation, and communicate important updates to stakeholders and the general public.
What types of press releases are accepted?
We accept a wide range of press releases, including product launches, company news, event announcements, funding announcements, partnerships and collaborations, new product launches, exchange listings, leadership changes, airdrops, token launches, milestones and achievements, technology integrations, regulatory approvals, community and ecosystem updates, event participation/sponsorship, and research and development, as long as they adhere to our editorial guidelines.
Where can I distribute my press releases with bitwire?
Our initial publishing partner is AP News. We are working on launching with our next list of curated publications in the coming months.
Do I get my money back if my press release is not published?
Unfortunately you do not get your money back if a press release submitted through Bitwire is not published by a specific publication. Here's why:

1. Service vs. result
Newswires charge for the distribution service, not for guaranteed publication. They provide the means to reach a wide network of media outlets, but cannot guarantee that any particular outlet will choose to publish the release.

2. No control over publications
Newswires don't have direct control over what individual publications choose to print or publish. That decision lies with each outlet's editorial team.

3. Multiple channels
Even if one publication doesn't pick up the story, the press release is usually distributed through various other channels, including the newswire's own website and potentially other media outlets.

4. Visibility to journalists
The value often comes from making the information available to a wide range of journalists and media professionals, who may use it for future stories or as background information, even if they don't publish it immediately.

5. Industry standard
This is the standard practice in the industry. Most newswire services clearly state in their terms that they don't guarantee publication or media pickup. If publication in a specific outlet is crucial, some businesses opt for more targeted PR strategies or direct outreach to publications, rather than relying solely on newswire services. However, it's important to note that even these approaches don't guarantee publication.
Do you offer translations &/or global press release distribution?
We do not offer this service at the moment but it is in the product development pipeline.
How does Bitwire deliver press releases to publishers?
Bitwire uses API integration to connect with publishers. This allows clients to automatically distribute press releases with one click.
What does "guaranteed coverage" mean?
"Guaranteed coverage" offered by Bitwire typically refers to a specific type of service where the newswire ensures that your press release will appear on certain platforms or media outlets. However, it's important to understand what this actually entails:

1. Online placements
Most often, "guaranteed coverage" means your press release will be published on a network of online news sites, blogs, or industry-specific platforms that have agreements with the newswire.

2. Syndication networks

These are often smaller or niche websites that automatically publish content from newswires, rather than major news outlets.Newswire's own platform: Your release will typically be published on the newswire's own website or distribution platform.

3. Partner sites

Some newswires have partnerships with certain media outlets or industry-specific sites where they can ensure publication.

4. No editorial control
While placement is guaranteed, these sites usually publish the release as-is, without editorial input or additional reporting.

5. Not major publications

"Guaranteed coverage" rarely, if ever, includes guaranteed publication in major news outlets, as these maintain independent editorial control.

6. SEO benefits
One of the main benefits of this service is often improved search engine visibility due to multiple online placements.

It's crucial to note that "guaranteed coverage" doesn't mean your release will be picked up by journalists for further reporting or published in high-profile media outlets. It primarily ensures online visibility across a network of smaller platforms. When evaluating newswire services, it's important to ask for specifics about where exactly your release will appear and what kind of audience these placements typically reach.
How long does it take for my press release to be published?
Bitwire is based out of Los Angles, California and operates between 8am and 4pm Pacific Standard Time (PST). During these hours, press releases may be distributed immediately after editorial approval. If submitted outside these hours, they will be published the next day. Additionally, some publications may require more than one day to complete.
